Your not the protagonist in far cry. In every game after 2, you basically mass murder the best option for the area to Oblivion in a misdirected rage at how you were treated in the first 5 minutes. It's complaining that the karma system annoying. You, by definition, are the protagonist.
I've never been to Montana but from what I know about it, it's supposed to be mostly a peaceful nature reserve. In Far Cry 5 it felt like some overpopulated redneck valley in Alabama. Every street you cross, every mountain you chute from, every river you navigate it's always full of AI just standing there trying to fight anything that moves.
I saw the ending on YouTube and for the first time, I've been disappointed with a Far Cry Ending. So if you try to arrest him and such, a nuke goes off and only you and the antagonist survives. So all the stuff you did and worked hard to do in this game doesn't matter because they've all been swept away by fire. It's like Hotline Miami 2 all over again.
