Hello u/Alchemyst56, I have detected that you may be asking if you should play or buy a certain DLC or are requesting comparisons of DLC. Please take some time to look at >this threadthis thread< (Trespasser) full of reviews that our members have made regarding all the DLC of the Dragon Age games, thank you!
The first 2 are independent stories. There is no importing with them. You start, play through, end. The latter 2 are part of the Warden's / Dragon Age: Origins stories. You can import your Warden from Origins or Awakening (and in Witch Hunt's case, you can import from Golems as well) to play through the story or start a new character in them
This is why even though I have the "DOWNLOAD ALL THE DLCS!" hardcopy, I can't play the DLC on my Xbone, and luckily still had my old 360 eating dust on my entertainment center for my current biennial replay. The primary fulfillment channel is dead, gone, turned off and probably in a landfill, so there's no good news there.
Return to Ostagar gives the Warden the opportunity to return to the site of the famous opening battle of Dragon Age: Origins to take revenge on the Darkspawn and learn of King Cailan's fate. The DLC will require Origins to play and can be accessed during the main game any time after Lothering. This DLC add-on has one Achievement to be earned
A Golems file can only be imported into With Hunt and Witch Hunt can not be imported into anything (well DA2 but that is not out yet). So to do everything on one character you have to play Origins, Awakening, Golems then Witch Hunt in that order. Yes, it is a truly awful system. Boards. Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening.
The Dragon Age series isn't as directly connected game to game via the same Player Character like Shepard in Mass Effect but in terms of events going on in the larger world and characters popping up, there is a fair amount of continuity and your choices do import from game to game, even if they're not always as big of consequences to them as

With the change from Origin to EA Play and the update of all DAO to the Ultimate version my Awakening expansion disappeared and, when I ask to install the complete version, which should include Awakening, it doesn't install anything but the basic DAO game.
UShuldBeJealous 10 years ago #1 I just downloaded the collector's edition with the unlimited/awakening content, and the game itself. I was wondering if I should campaign fist, or if I should
On console you just need to drop the items in the storage chest, leave and come back. On PC, just sell the items to one of the merchants in the keep and do the same. They should upgrade to a material fitting your current level (sometimes you need to leave and come back a few times though) 2. Rubafix.
The Leliana and Darkspawn DLCs are standalone campaigns. ---. IronicHipster 12 years ago #3. Origins --> Awakening ---> Golems of Amgarrak ---> Witch Hunt. The Stone Prisoner, Warden's Keep, and Return to Ostagar are meant to be done during Origins. You can do Leliana's Song and Darkspawn Chronicles whenever you want.
You play these during Origins. For the other DLC: Leliana's Song, I always play this after Leliana tells me about her story during Origins. Awakening, play this after you beat Origins. Golems of Amgarrak after Awakening. Witch Hunt to finish things off. Darkspawn Chronicales is an alternate timeline story. I recommend playing it anytime after
DLC is a solid 40+ hours combined. Hope this helped. My first playthrough took me almost exactly 60 hours, I tried to do everything, and read all the codexes. My first play through took 80 hours and 120 with all dlc. I had no clue what I was doing at the time, though. So it depends on how slow you play games. Iād say 40-60 is the average.
Casual on DA:O, normal/hard on DA2. Origins was so difficult for me to play on anything higher than casual for me past halfway because i was bad at managing my group and i built totally wrong so i had nothing going for me by the end game. DA2 was much easier in those respects though. 3. Haedrath.
